THE GALACTIC SUITE SPACEPORT WILL BOAST MAGNETIC LEVITATION TECHNOLOGY

This innovative launching system will enable the spacecraft to accelerate to up to 1,000 km/h in 20 seconds.
The spaceport created by EQUIP Xavier Claramunt will cover a surface of 40,000 m2 with investment totalling 150 million euros and its design taking into consideration aspects such as sustainability and respect for the environment.

The Galactic Suite project will include a revolutionary space launch system for the very first time. The system is designed to offer maximum safety and reduce impact on the environment to a minimum.  The travel company’s team of engineers and architects has designed an infrastructure where the spacecraft will levitate using electromagnetic force and will accelerate along a Maglev launchway.  This new technology consists of an acceleration module suspended in the air above a track which is then propelled forward using repulsive and attractive magnetic forces. EL GALACTIC SUITE SPACEPORT TENDRÁ TECNOLOGÍA DE LEVITACIÓN MAGNÉTICA

El novedoso sistema de lanzamiento permitirá acelerar la aeronave hasta 1.000 km/h en 20 segundos.
El puerto espacial, diseñado por la compañía EQUIP Xavier Claramunt, tendrá una superficie de 40.000 metros cuadrados.
La inversión asciende a los 150 millones de euros y tendrá en cuenta aspectos como la sostenibilidad y el respeto al medio ambiente.

El Proyecto Galactic Suite incorporará, por primera vez, un sistema revolucionario de lanzamiento espacial pensado para maximizar la seguridad y minimizar el impacto en el medio ambiente. El equipo de ingenieros y arquitectos de la compañía de turismo espacial han diseñado una infraestructura donde la nave espacial levitará magnéticamente y acelerará a través de una pista de lanzamiento Maglev. Esta nueva tecnología consiste en un acelerador suspendido en el aire por encima de una vía, siendo propulsado hacia adelante por medio de las fuerzas repulsivas y atractivas del magnetismo. Last Thursday, July 17, the closing ceremony took place for the Space Odyssey Institute course SOI08: Niche Opportunities in Space Exploration at the Galactic Suite headquarters in Barcelona. The course had been held over twelve days in the city within the framework of the ISU (International Space University) course programme.

August 2008) The Space Tourism Company Galactic Suite already has 38 reservations made by tourists who in 2012 will travel to the hotel to spend four days at 450 kilometres from the Earth. The trip, which  will cost 3 million euros, also includes 18 weeks of preparation for the tourists to acquire experience in  space. Entre los primeros proyectos destaca un refugio en el Himalaya y una aeronave inflable

(Barcelona, Junio 2009) – Un grupo de arquitectos e ingenieros aeroespaciales ha constituido en Barcelona la empresa Galactic Suite Design, cuya principal actividad es la creación de conceptos y diseño para el sector aeroespacial.
La nueva compañía nace con el objetivo de convertirse en la referencia del diseño en la industria aeroespacial, un sector considerado estratégico y que puede representar una salida a la actual situación económica. Sólo en Catalunya, esta industria facturó 112 millones de euros en 2007, lo que representa un 3% del total de España, y da trabajo a casi 900 personas.

Barcelona, June 2009.- In Barcelona, a group of aerospace architects and engineers have set up the Galactic Suite Design company, whose core activity is the creation of concepts and design for the aerospace sector.
The new company has been set up with a view to becoming a reference in design in the aerospace industry, a sector regarded as strategic and which may constitute a way out of the current economic situation. In Catalonia alone, this industry recorded a turnover of 112 million Euros in 2007, which represents 3% of the total for Spain, and provides employment to almost 900 people.
